DESCRIPTION:Meet at Defiance @7:30 AM – please be on time to allow ample time for the pre-ride briefing and any questions\, as this is a longer trip with more details. Thank you! \nKSU @ 8 AM \nPlease join us Labor Day weekend on a two-night overnighter with the Winnipeg HOG Chapter\, all the way from Manitoba\, Canada!! \nWe will meet at Defiance at 7 am on Saturday\, August 30th\, ride through the beautiful Northeast Iowa\, cross the muddy Mississippi River into Wisconsin\, and reach our final destination at the Waterfront Hotel in Prairie du Chien.  We will stay two nights.  Check-out is Monday\, September 1st.  We’ll plan to be home by dinner on Labor Day! \nThe Mississippi River Valley (aka The Driftless Area) is an outdoor oasis that boasts stunning limestone bluffs\, flowing rivers and winding scenic byways. We will travel many of the scenic byways along both the Iowa and Wisconsin side of this Mississippi River. We will take in many scenic views at the various lookout areas as well as visiting several small historic small towns. \nThere are 8 rooms available at the Waterfront Hotel:  3 king rooms\, and 5 rooms with two queen beds.  Please see below for room rates. You can also submit payment via Venmo: @dhdomahatreasurer. \nPlease note – this event will serve as our September Chapter Gathering. \n(There will be NO CHAPTER GATHERING on SATURDAY\, SEPT. 20th.  Instead\, please enjoy Hot Rods & Hawgs at Defiance on Sat. Sept. 20th!) \nCome\, ride\, eat\, and join in on the FUN and LAKESHORE SHENANIGANS! \nJoin us on a pre-picnic ride at 11 AM\, meeting at Defiance\, and ending up at Lake Manawa for the picnic and “said shenanigans” at 12:30 PM. \nOur picnic shelter includes its own kitchen and set of bathrooms!  There is also a playground for the kiddos\, a volleyball court\, and horseshoe pits!  There is ample shade under the covered seating area\, and a large\, flat-surface parking lot. \nAs always\, we will have our annual corn hole tournament.  Find your partner and come see if you have what it takes to win the tournament!  And look out…we may be doing shenanigans on the bikes this year for some fun-loving skills competitions!  Prizes are involved! \nSee you there!
